National Vanguard Contramaestre Coffee Processing Company
Contramaestre, Santiago de Cuba, Aug. 3 - The results of the sustained work in the local coffee development, the benefit and commercialization of the grain during 2019 made the collective of the Rolando Ayud Coffee Processing Company in Contramaestre deserving of the flag that accredits it as a National Vanguard.
The entity located in Contramaestre, south central eastern Cuba and about 800 kilometers from the capital, Havana, processes around 64 percent of the cherry tree in the entire nation and has achieved this recognition for the first time, so its workers undertake to maintain such a condition.
At the proposal of the Agricultural, Forestry and Tobacco Union in the Santiago de Cuba province, the Secretariat of the CTC National Committee approved granting the status of National Vanguard to the Rolando Ayud Coffee Processing Company known in the market as LIDECA or coffee leaders.
Yamilé Sierra Hidalgo, Secretary General of the Union of Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry and Tobacco in the Santiago de Cuba province, stressed that the company contramaestrence is the only one of its kind in the country to receive the banner and said that she is very happy to share this moment so awaited by the collective contramaestrence.
In the act of handing over the flag, chaired by political, union and agricultural leaders of the territory and the province, the most outstanding workers and structures of the period were individually recognized. Likewise, the distinction Marcos Martí Rodríguez was imposed on Marlenis Castellanos Guerra and María Elena Pantoja Matos, who for more than twenty uninterrupted years in the sector have maintained an impeccable attitude in the fulfillment of their tasks.
The engineer Marlenis Castellanos Guerra, general director of this branch, described the recognition as meritorious and assured that it will be retained for a long time as it is the collective's intention to continue developing production processes in a sustained manner, along with the improvement of industrial activity.
Six Santiago groups from this sector reached the status of national vanguard. The Rolando Ayud Coffee Processing Company is heading again this 2020 to fulfill its productive, economic and union commitments.
