The productive structure, located in the Popular Council of La Tabla, after going through an intense and prolonged drought, is revived and has the aspiration to undertake another good coffee harvest, in correspondence with the corporate purpose: There, some 84 hectares are defined as dedicated to this crop, of these 49 in production and the rest in development, which will ensure compliance with the Coffee Development Program planned for 2030.

Many of its coffee areas, classified as old plantations, and greatly weakened in their agricultural yields, are being renewed at this time, with the planting of the katimorra coffee species, which is essentially promoted in the higher areas as a guarantee of obtaining high yields and a quality grain.

As an assurance to this ambitious coffee renovation, the construction of the nurseries is included where around 86,000 positions are already accumulated. In that sense, there is serious work in three other technified projects with an Italian project for a capping house. The drought hit hard for several months, however they knew how to prevail with novel alternatives such as the manufacture of two wells to irrigate the plantations.

Food production, at this time of COVID-19, is a priority and work strategy for the men and women of "Friendship with the Peoples",

where the raising of rabbits, rams, pigs and the rearing of equines is increased, in addition to the cultivation of fresh vegetables and condiments, as well as other short-cycle crops that will influence a greater satisfaction of the food needs of mountain residents and the economic improvement of the UBPC.

Multiple efforts are also dedicated to the production of animal feed, among them the planting of protein plants such as mulberry, moringa, titonia and sugar cane, which contribute to replace the imported feed that calls for the development of animal mass.

The productive and economic results at the UBPC are on the rise, both quantitatively and qualitatively; These partners are proud of but not satisfied, since the goal is to recover the record of coffee production and gradually increase in the provision of food for the population. The commitments are comforted with the determination to do things well and continue advancing in favor of the good health of the country's economy and the improvement of the level and quality of life of its associates.
