Province of Cuba favors exports of the agricultural sector
Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, Jan 17 (Prensa Latina) Expanding agricultural productions that substitute imports and favor international offers in lines such as tobacco and coffee distinguish this province of Cuba, experts from the agricultural sector say today.
It was known that the Arabica coffee crop grown in the central area of Cuba and exported under the Crystal Mountain brand to international markets stands out for the quality of its bean. The people of Spiritism are working on replacing the plantations in the Escambray mountains and sowing in flat areas with the aim of reaching 700 tons of grain (Arabica and Robusta) by 2030. This project has as a priority the application of science and technology in cultivation, of carrying out pruning, shade regulation and fertilization, as well as the benefits that coffee growers will receive with the new collection prices.
