Cuban President confirms program of attention to neighborhoods in Bayamo
Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of Cuba, confirmed at noon this Thursday the program of attention to the neighborhoods of Granma in the so-called Pedro Pompa, in Bayamo.
In that place, Federico Hernández, first secretary of the Party in Granma, explained to the Cuban president that for almost 3 months, they began to improve housing, roads, aqueduct, commercial and other services in the Pedro Pompa neighborhood. The delegate of the 155 district of that place, Roseydis de Moya, told Díaz-Canel that the neighbors support the construction forces, and also added that they had a modified quarantine and more than 400 people sick with Covid-19. However, she said they turned out well, since they all recovered thanks to the Revolution, their health system and the vaccination of children has been completed. Working in the neighborhoods and perfecting them includes concepts of socialism, and includes many issues that the Party Congress defined as problems that must be overcome, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel said this Thursday in Bayamo. He indicated that this program involves the work of the Party, the Government, the administrations and all the organizations, and specified that they deepen the work of the neighborhoods, have experiences in Havana and include those of other provinces. Miguel Díaz-Canel, highlighted the objective of doing politics working as Popular Power, and said that companies and organizations cannot intervene in the neighborhood, since it is about working with the neighborhood and making a diagnosis of the problems. Díaz-Canel also said that these situations are valued by municipal assemblies, since the concept of People's Power states that power is exercised by the people, and that is why we speak of sovereignty. In a second part of the visit to the province of Granma, the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, exchanged with producers from the agricultural company Roberto Estévez Ruz, from Cauto Cristo, one of the leading productive entities of the province, especially in the livestock branch.
