Present Cuba at the China International Export Expo
In order to expand and diversify exports to the Chinese market, Cuba participates in the China International Import Expo (CIIE), which takes place in the city of Shanghai.
This was announced today through Twitter by the Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Déborah Rivas, and she stressed that the virtual pavilion exhibits exportable offers, as well as the cultural diversity and tourist attractions of the country. "Participate in #IVExpoShanghai, # CIIE2021 in #Cuba virtual pavilion, exportable offers, cultural diversity and tourist attractions to expand and diversify #Cuban exports to the Chinese market," the vice minister tweeted. As part of the event, Cuba will present this space on the most important electronic commerce platform in China, JD.com, and in this way it will expose an important group of products of the Caribbean nation, internationally recognized. On this occasion, in addition to traditional items such as rum, cigars and cane sugar, others such as seafood, charcoal, honey and medical, educational and pharmaceutical technologies will be exhibited, reports the Prensa Latina agency. Cuba participates in the CIIE, from November 5 to 10, for the fourth consecutive time, after China launched the initiative in 2018. The previous edition, of 2020, closed with agreements for 72 thousand 620 million dollars, 2.1 percent more than the previous one.
