Isec Tellerías Abreu, Deputy Director of Cítricos Arimao, told the Cuban News Agency that this condiment undergoes a process of drying and grinding for export. For several years Cítricos Arimao has been selling natural hot peppers, with very good quality and high demand in France, England, Spain, Canada and the Netherlands. And for the present 2022, 30 tons of the pepper grown in areas of the agricultural company itself must be taxed to those countries. In addition to spicy, this producer sells fresh mangoes for those European countries and for Italy, as well as pulp and aseptic slices of that fruit for Germany. They also bill charcoal in different modalities: first, second, charcoal and coal dust, and packages in 12 and 15 kilogram formats, said the manager. Another traditional product is the Persian lime or lemon, a seedless variety with a high juice content. There are 45 individual farmers linked to the Arimao citrus company who have received the benefit of the productive chain with the sales of their lines abroad or at the border. This has taken place with taxes to the Mariel Special Development Zone, where they offer frozen cassava and sweet potatoes, beans, sweet papaya, and mango nectar, among others. Cítrico Arimao was officially created on December 15, 1976, although it was structured and operated under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture since 1968, when the development of citrus nurseries and seedbeds began, and the initial plantings were achieved in the first three years. from the 70's of the last century.
