Yudanis Jiménez Toirac, engineer in charge of the project, specified that the application of the pipeline method at full capacity will allow the production of 92 thousand plants per year, with the benefit of a greater root ball thanks to the design of the conical and ribbed plastic pipe for guide the roots.
Unlike traditional nurseries in Cuba, this modality allows concentrating more plants to save space, since 54 trays are produced in each tray of around one square meter.
In addition, through irrigation the young postures are fertilized, and the tube is not discarded as it happens with the polyethylene bag, which is used only once.
