Producers of the eight coffee-growing massifs in the province of Santiago de Cuba have created the conditions to begin, at the end of this current September, the harvesting of the grain of the second campaign that is developed under sanitary and material restrictions in the country.

The Ubpc located two dining rooms, one in the most intricate area, which occupies 70 percent of the areas, they have a due supply with various crops, grains, vegetables, pork and fat that they produced before, for quality service to the coffee growers, said the president of the Ubpc. Yards of oxen, a herd of 17 mules, baskets and improvement of the roads where only pack animals can travel are ready, except the bags that are waiting for an answer, because with the few that they have in two fillings they are destroyed. Even so, there is willingness and joy among the 564 workers of the Ubpc to exceed what was planned in almost 17 hectares, commented the families who have their homes near the road and who favor their quality of life due to the high prices of coffee, which is the main economic line in the mountains of Santiago. Like the Mario Muñoz of the largest grain producing town in Cuba, there are more than 255 base structures that participate in the current harvest, where the province has the commitment to contribute 4,500 tons of grain, a figure higher than last season for the actions of the Development Program until 2030.
