Guanahacabibes Agroforestry Company opens new units
As part of the dignification process of the Guanahacabibes Agroforestry Company, the Base Business Unit (UEB) "El Valle", located in the Community "La Jarreta", was inaugurated this Friday morning, aimed at the attention of workers.
As part of this day, a tour of the "El Palmar" farm was also carried out, which works on the formation of three livestock modules dedicated to rabbit, poultry and pig production.
This productive unit also has one and a half hectares of plantain of the FHIA 04 variety for self-consumption and municipal supply and eight hectares of coconut.
The Guanahacabibes Agroforestry Company, one of the most outstanding of its kind in the country, currently diversifies its productions with more than five products, including charcoal - destined for export - and raw materials for carpentry, among others.
Participating in the activities were the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the municipality, Rachel Álvarez González, the President of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power Mairin Ferro Caraballo and a representation of managers of entities, who recalled together with the workers the anniversary of the 26 de Julio, historical epic that marked the destiny of Cuba to achieve the Trinufo of the Revolution.
