Everything is guaranteed to conclude well, gathering what is possible for the contest, which is expected to end in February, according to Omar Bermúdez Sánchez, General Director of the Eladio Machín Coffee Processing Company, based in this town of Cumanayagua. “The industrial process takes a little longer, perhaps at the end of March we will be finishing it. For this year we have 135 tons of coffee in plan and we think that there will be no problems to comply with it, including internal sales, as always. We are going to enter the Mariel Special Zone, with sales to two companies ”.

Part of the coffee arsenal is destined for national consumption, and he adds: "We are not going to have any difficulty in complying with what is planned in the economy plan during the current year 2021." Various entities pay taxes to the Cienfuegos Coffee Company, where they will benefit and sell 535 tons. “We had to mobilize personnel from the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC), the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) and the Union of Young Communists (UJC), at different times, due to the peak of maturity that occurred from the rains from the passage of Tropical Storm Eta.

The mobilizations were very fruitful, because the colleagues gave an important contribution and no coffee fell, everything was collected in a timely manner ”, says the General Director of the Eladio Machín Coffee Processing Company with words of satisfaction.
