Stability in the supply of agricultural products, a challenge for the people of Spiritism
Stability in the supply of products from the agricultural sector to the population is a challenge for the people of Spiritism, Ramón Osmani Aguilar Betancourt, president of the Permanent Commission of Agrifood Work of the National Assembly of People's Power, told the ACN.
Aguilar Betancourt recently made a working visit to the province of Sancti Spíritus, in which he spoke with managers and producers of the agriculture system, and in which he appreciated the presence of lines of this branch in the market, but said that this visualization was NOT It can be one day, if not every day; and it is also very important, he stressed, to diversify products. The top leader of the Agrifood Commission of the National Assembly confirmed the satisfaction that exists among the producers of Espirituan with the application of the 63 measures approved by the central government to boost agriculture in Cuba. We know, he said, that currently the meteorological conditions and, therefore, those derived from these are not the best due to climate change, in addition to the depopulation that exists in the fields, but it is necessary to redouble efforts, and that is also a challenge so that people have a balance in their diet. When referring to the business system, Aguilar Betancourt insisted on rigorously complying with the compendium of legal norms established in recent times to achieve efficiency in the work of state institutions. He particularly highlighted the work of the Meat and Fishing companies in the territory, which achieve certain increases in their respective productions from the modernization of their technological processes and the production chain. He emphasized the need to improve efficiency indicators, both agricultural and industrial, in sugarcane production, which shows low yields in its growing areas, and which is due, in part, to the lack of water because more 90 percent of these lands are dry land; however, he reiterated, there are producers that achieve good results.
