Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez highlighted the actions that are being developed in various countries to demand the lifting of the United States' blockade against the island.
This weekend, members of solidarity groups, people of good will and Cubans residing in countries on all continents are mobilizing against Washington's policy of sanctions against Cuba. These actions are part of the International Solidarity Day convened by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, and include marches, caravans of cars and bicycles, rallies, cultural meetings and debates on social networks. Under the auspices of the Bridges of Love initiative, solidarity activists held a rally in the US capital that demanded that the president of that country, Joe Biden, lift the siege against the island. Also San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Albuquerque and Minnesota joined the call, as well as the Canadian cities of Ottawa and Vancouver.
