Minister of Economy highlights new possibilities for national development
The Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Planning of Cuba, Alejandro Gil Fernández, highlighted today the new possibilities for national development offered by the non-state project of Las Tunas, Plásticos Bahamonde.

In his own tweet, Gil Fernández shared a work from the Granma newspaper published this Tuesday, where he highlights that this project is a novel proposal that seeks greater ecological and financial sustainability, whose main objective is the protection of the environment and the use of innovation. , in the search for cheaper and more sustainable solutions. The generalization of this initiative would benefit practically 100% of the spheres of the economy, from tourism and agriculture, to the construction materials industry and the home. These products have high potential to become exportable items, due to the advantages of plastic wood in the face of humidity: rigid, resistant and without risk of affectation by fungi and insects.
