Cienfuegos, Cuba.- Esta provincia del centro sur crea polos productivos en los municipios, con unas 200 hectáreas de extensión en cada uno destinados a la producción de más alimentos.
Cumanayagua stands out, where they also add those of the El Tablon Company, the planting of coffee in the plain and that of Cítricos Arimao, the latter covers 800 hectares.
The Provincial Delegate for Agriculture, Yoan Sarduy Alonso reports that in some of them they also obtain products for export together with import substitution and self-sufficiency.
"So far there are 10 new poles incorporated, precise, and added to those that already existed because we have the traditional ones of Horquita, Juraguá, Martyrs of Barbados and Santa Martina."
Yoan adds that “we produce food, vegetables, grains and fruits. We are working with a design that closes cycles to allow productions to come out with benefits that essentially respond to the Self-Supply Program ”.
Reasons for which the delegate affirms: "That more than 60 percent of the strategy in the pole are of long-cycle crops, which have the guarantee of the workforce to provide the required sustainability"
