With the commitment and the will to continue contributing for the benefit of the food of the people and the economy, examples related to high impact assortments were critically analyzed, not only in the territory but for the country, such as rice, canned fruits, viands, coffee, pork, corn, tomato and milk, in addition to the transport of the latter to the industry. Humberto Labrada Coronado, from the Cooperativa de Creditos y Servicios (CCS) Niceto Pérez, from the municipality of Bayamo, warned about the high migration of the workforce to other better-paid activities, including the also necessary production of charcoal destined for the export. In order to particularize, clarify and go more into the details of each activity, he proposed to carry out similar exchanges at the level of the different Higher Bodies of Business Management. Associated with the same CCS, Humberto Labrada Pérez pointed out the lack of a market to which to go to acquire technology in order to modify still archaic systems, develop and produce with less costs. It is urgent - he said - to finish defining an adequate marketing system, as well as to evaluate the relevance of the current differences between the prices of the carters, the Business Group of Acopio and those that bring the so-called competitors to the market. Taking into account its great impact on the Cuban table, he insisted in the same way on the importance of punctually attending to crops such as bananas, whose production today generates losses given the increase in costs per throw of organic matter, payment of electricity, water and others. Through videoconference from the coastal town of Pilón, Vicente Morales Rodríguez, president of the Corona Cooperative Production Basic Unit, pointed out that they are already producing charcoal and there are still obvious ignorance about prices, sales mechanisms and the acquisition of required inputs. The meeting held at the headquarters of the Provincial Government of People's Power was chaired by José Luis Jiménez Casanova, an official of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC); Silvio Gutiérrez Pérez, Director of Agroindustry of the Ministry of Finance and Prices; and Alexis Rodríguez Pérez, general director of Agricultural Economy and Development of the Ministry of Agriculture. Federico Hernández Hernández, first secretary of the PCC in Granma, ratified that the eastern territory will continue to give top priority to the Ordering Task, based on the search for solutions to each problem, from the active and conscious participation of all those involved. We are obliged to solve our problems and inefficiencies in the productive order, many of which precede this cardinal process, which is for the better and does imply important strengths, he stressed. We are talking about the market and the urgency of competing at the world level, but in the conditions of socialism, where above all there is a commitment to the people and the defense of the Revolution, without ignoring the effects that the economic blockade causes to Cuba. commercial and financial management of the United States government, he added.
