The 2021-2022 harvest begins in Villa Clara

Fulfilling the date set in the calendar, the central "Carlos Baliño" of the Santo Domingo municipality, began the 2021-2022 harvest at dawn on Monday, December 20. In this way, he is the first in Villa Clara to start his machinery.

This is one of the six entities in charge of producing sugar during the current conflict in the province, with the effort to contribute 15,567 tons of crude, of which 3,1199 are organic. To this productive payroll, 1,733 tons of B honey and 4,10 of final honey are added, while to satisfy these commitments they will have 167 thousand tons of cane, a part of which will be contributed by the sugarcane farmers of the agro-industrial company sugar factory «George Washington». Preceding the start, the opening ceremony on the premises of that industry, chaired by Osnay Miguel Colina and Carlos Amauri Figueredo, members of the Provincial Bureau of the Cuban Communist Party in Villa Clara, Bárbaro Monteagudo Fernández, coordinator of programs and objectives of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power, and Dianelis Díaz Águila from the sugar union, together with the highest political and government authorities of the municipality, the CTC, UJC, among other guests. Gradually, in the remainder of the current week, the "Ifraín Alfonso Liriano", "Heriberto Duquesne" and "José María Pérez" plants will be incorporated, with the task of manufacturing the more than four thousand tons of crude oil corresponding to the small harvest. As of the first week of January, this list will be expanded with the incorporation of "Héctor Rodríguez" and "Quintín Banderas". The long-awaited sugar harvest began in the Villa Clara geography and six agro-industrial companies have the commitment for this harvest to produce about 120 thousand tons of crude oil, to which result another four will contribute their raw material.
