Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca spoke with producers from Matanzas on Friday about the implementation of 63 measures to revitalize food production. With these provisions, the agricultural sector can generate income, serve the grassroots, protect peasants and improve indicators, says Radio 26. Tapia Fonseca pondered the potential of Matanzas in livestock and agriculture, at the meeting with the head of the sector, Ydael Pérez Brito, and the Ministers of the Food Industry, Manuel Sobrino Martínez, and of Labor and Social Security, Marta Elena Feitó. Before the highest authorities of the territory, the deputy prime minister affirmed that deficiencies persist in the contracting process, prices of milk transport, delivery of that line to the industry and the application of science to increase yields.
