They benefit coffee in Contramaestre for export
A month has passed since the economic and social reorganization in Cuba and Contramaestre's Base Business Unit has not stopped its machines in the processing of coffee for various destinations, including exports.
This agricultural industry belonging to the Rolando Ayud Elías Coffee Processing Company of this municipality in the province of Santiago de Cuba, plans to benefit in February 108 tons of the grain for its commercialization in the international market. The agricultural engineer Osnardo Fuentes Guerra, director of the aforementioned center, said that the largest volumes of grain to be processed are destined for national consumption and another figure will be sold to the domestic market. The Contramaestre Base Business Unit processes all the raw material from the 11 coffee companies in Granma and Santiago de Cuba provinces, the latter being the largest producer in the country. The referred industry processes 60 percent of the coffee that is produced in Cuba, so the fulfillment of each planned ton each month is vital for the nation's economy.
