The Asdrúbal López Coffee Processing Company, which became the first export hub in the province of Guantánamo, remains the leader in Cuba in production for export in favor of contributing to the country's economy.
The group of this entity managed to carry out the first two operations in Europe, one for coffee and another for cocoa in the past year with satisfactory results, informed the general director Osmel de la Cruz Cala. He also stated that in 2021 this company, known by its Altoserra brand, plans to grow in the levels of coffee and cocoa destined for markets other than those of Cubaexport, the country's main exporter, for which that entity also guarantees deliveries. To achieve these objectives and based on the work of the entire group, the quality and integrated management systems were certified, which encompasses the safety, occupational health and environmental protection standards, which ensures compliance with processes in correspondence with international standards. As the engineer Osmel de la Cruz Cala, general director of the Procesadora Asdrúbal López, explained, in the strategy to consolidate itself as an export company there are more than 20 companies in its portfolio of clients and suppliers, which shows the acceptance it has gained in different continents . On the other hand, he assures, Altoserra plans to make the first exports of ginger, turmeric, aloe vera, among other products, which will depend on the restart of flights from international airports in the eastern provinces of Santiago de Cuba and Holguín.
