Workers from the Empresa Agropecuaria Nazareno, in San José de las Lajas, prepare the second batch of charcoal for export.
The product, obtained from aroma and marabou woods, abundant undesirable plants on the grounds of the "La Victoria" and Rafael González Business Units, belonging to the entity, is widely accepted in the international market. These woods guarantee a clean, high-quality charcoal, a pleasant aroma and little smoke production and will constitute a new source of income for the company. Vegetable charcoal, together with the variety of magnet pumpkin and the orange mass sweet potato are among the products incorporated in the Nazareno Agricultural Company to increase the number of exportable lines. According to Eriberto Artigas, general director of the entity, this will be the first batch of 2021 and it is expected to reach 8 before the end of the year.
