Tunera agriculture expands exportable offers
Regarding the gradual implementation of the 63 measures in the agricultural sector, several of which allow cooperatives, farmers and associates to various forms of production, import and export food and other goods, the Delegation of Agriculture in the province applies initiatives and recognizes opportunities, in order to boost exports.
Currently, and from the identification of a dozen products, this instance creates strategies for international trade. According to executives from its Department of Economics, they assume two basic aspects as premises: the consolidation and growth of traditional Las Tunas items and the increase in new assortments that can gradually be added to that market. agricc In this last section, the lines okra, beans, melon, mango, Persian lime, beet, carrot, hot pepper, pepper and tomato rank among the fresh fruits with potential to be incorporated. At the same time, traditional items behave correctly despite the pitfalls related to the intensification of the blockade and the economic contingency in trade, generated by the epidemiological crisis of Covid-19. Important meeting that weighs the production chains and enhances the possibilities of internal and external commercialization, in addition to encouraging links in the business context.
